philosophy

It is your birthright to feel good in your body now, as it is today.

You can feel joyful in your activities and let go of stress by learning easier habits that are already part of your innate design.  The goal of studying Alexander Technique is to improve your alignment and discover poise, balance, and freedom of movement.

A fundamental tenet of the Alexander Technique is that the quality of all movements is affected by the poise of the head on top of the spine.  An Alexander lesson begins with recovering this freedom and follows the student's desires and intentions to realize their full potential.

 

AT is a beautiful method of transformation; finding, regaining, and returning to our natural state of alignment, restoring optimum organization of all individual parts and into one unified, high functioning organism; from everyday activities, to highly sophisticated movements such as athletics, playing an instrument, dancing, typing, reading, nursing, painting, building, hammering, dentistry, parenting, metalsmithing (and so on).
